The Gustavian Weekly

Preparing stories for the web

The process for putting stories on the web will change a bit this year.

The Web Editor will open your InDesign file and copy content to the web. It is no longer necessary to copy stories to Word. Most content, except for the calendar will be put online this year.

Please make sure you follow these steps to ensure that your page’s content is correctly uploaded.

  • Save your final InDesign file on the server.
  • Save the images you used in an easy-to-find location.
  • Make sure PDFs are available, as these are posted a week after each issue is published.
  • If you greyscaled any images, please keep a copy of the color image for use on the web.
  • Let the Web Editor know if there is anything that should be handled in a different manner.

If you have any questions about this process, or about the website in general, please contact the Web Editor.  Thanks for your help!
