Gustavus Senior point guard Bri Radtke led the Women’s Basketball team to an 18-4 record in the MIAC, eventually losing to St. Thomas in the MIAC Playoff Semifinal game.
Leading the Gusties to an 18-4 record and a second place finish in the MIAC, Gustavus Senior basketball player Bri Radtke was the most accomplished Women’s athlete of the year. The team’s second place finish was the best finish for the Gusties since the 2006-07 season due in large part of the leadership of Radtke at the point guard position.
Radtke earned the honors of 2010 MIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. She was also a finalist for the 2010 State Farm Coaches’ Division III All-American Team. Radtke, a two-time All-Conference honoree, tied for the lead in the MIAC, with 4.41 assists per game, and was fifth in assist/turnover ratio at 1.76. Radtke also finished near the top in several other statistical categories including points per game, free throw percentage and field goal percentage.
During her four years on the Women’s Basketball team, Radtke played in 108 consecutive games, tying the school record for career games played. She finished her career at Gustavus ranking second in assists, tenth in steals and eleventh in three-point field goals.
In addition to Radtke’s standout performance on the basketball court, she is a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree as well as a 2010 CoSIDA Academic All-District Selection.
