On behalf of the Weekly staff, I would like to welcome you to the new Gustavian Weekly website. We worked this summer to improve the layout. We plan to add additional content this year. Some of things we are working on include:
- A new front page design
- We changed the way content is displayed on the front page, dividing the page into sections; in an attempt to make it easier for our visitors to find the content they are looking for.
- The ability for the community to interact further with the Weekly
- Letters to the Editor will be published online
- Facebook and Twitter pages have been established – friend us!
- Additional web-only content
- Our Editor-in-Chief, Jake Seamans will be blogging, providing an interesting insight into the Weekly
- Stories that do not fit into our print edition will be put online
- More blogs?? – We are looking for people interested in blogging… Email weekly-webmaster@gustavus.edu
- Features from the print edition
- PDF copies of the print edition will be archived online one week after they are published
- Campus Safety Reports will appear online
- More stories from the print edition will be put on this website
A special thanks to everyone who provided comments while the site was in beta, including, Sophomore student Nathaniel Beaver, Photography Editor Sarah Cartwright, Managing Editor Becky Krocak, Mary Lany, Jim Lany, Gustavus Technical Web Coordinator Joe Lencioni, and Editor-in-Chief Jacob Seamans.
