Staff Writer- Emily Sustaita While watching Alysa Liu joyfully skate in the Exhibition Gala, you may have caught yourself bopping and dancing along to a song called “Stateside”. As the catchy lyrics go, “I’m freezing outside, I feel my skin tight/ My coat is inside, but I look up at you.” You might be wondering, who was the person who wrote this song? This glittery … Continue reading Get Your Headphones On, It’s Time to go “Stateside”
Staff Writer- Emily Anderson Music has been rather boring lately. When riding on the bus to a swim meet lately, I realized the truth, the comeback of modern music, through watching Pitch Perfect. Anna Kendrick’s voice filled my spirit with whimsy and joy. Bumper and the Treblemakers are gallivanting around the stage while singing covers of songs. “The Riff Off” (also known as the most … Continue reading Aca-Awesome: GAC Acapella Making a Comeback?

Opinion Editor- Soph White This may be a hot take–although it’s stupid if it is–but I think we should stop basing gender identity on the outward expression that takes place through someone’s physical body/appearance. I say this as a genderqueer individual, who cannot manage to look androgynous even if I tried (and trust, I have). I’ve learned many things during my journey through attempted androgyny. … Continue reading Stop Assuming My Gender Based on My Body

I mean, who doesn’t love watching people slide on ice or snow? However, often I hear a voice in the back of my head. The same voice I frequently hear at the modern art museum. It shares … Continue reading Unique Olympic Sports to Not Try at Home
