Senior Spotlight: Laurel Krebsbach

This recurring segment will highlight a senior Gustavus athlete each week.

Q: What were your expectations for the season?

A: My expectations coming into the spring were to go undefeated in the conference and win the MIAC playoffs with my team. So far my team is undefeated in the conference with two conference matches left so I have been very proud of my team and how hard everyone has been working to making both these goals become a reality.

Q: What is your best athletic memory?

A: This is a tough question. I have had so many memorable moments throughout my four years. Some of those memorable moments have even been when my team has lost a tight match. If I had to pick I would actually say this past weekend when we beat Carleton. In my four years at Gustavus I had yet to beat Carleton, so to finally win with this team my senior year meant a lot to me.

Q: Why would you recommend Gustavus?

A: I would recommend Gustavus because it is a great place that really understands what it means to be a student-athlete. I have had a enriching experience here with athletics, but Gustavus has also allowed me to study abroad in Freiburg, Germany for a semester and excel academically as a student.
