Tip of the Week:

SEAT BELT ENFORCEMENT – Saint Peter Police Officers will join nearly 400 law enforcement agencies in Minnesota in a seat belt enforcement “Click It or Ticket” campaign from October 10th through October 26th.

Enforcement, education and legislative action resulting in tougher seat belt laws are influencing an increasing number of motorists to buckle up. The Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement and education program is a component of the State’s Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) initiative. Police Officers will stop and ticket unbelted drivers or passengers. Seat belts must be worn correctly — low and snug across the hips; shoulder straps should never be tucked under an arm or behind the back. So remember to “Click it….or Ticket!”
