Beneath the Crown (2/26/16)

What is a good education to you?

“A good education is one where I can come away knowing that I learned something substantial. It has to be substantial enough that I can effectively take it into my workplace and surrounding community to better not only myself but also all of the people around me.”

What would an education need in order to accomplish those goals?

“Usually an education has a goal to it. For example, the idea of majors and minors gives goals for studies. More specifically, in my case, a good education in the philosophy and psychology fields would be one that not only allows me to assist people with mental health issues, which is something I’m interested in, but also educates me on why we should take care of people the way we do. It should educate me in a way so that I’m always motivated to do the best I can to help people.”

What are your future goals with your education and afterwards?

“I’ve had a few options in mind. I’d like to be a professor of philosophy. Or I was thinking of using the psychology side of my degree to go into mental health assistance and help the mentally disparaged. I’m also looking at using it to go into business or human resources management.”
