March 8 – March 12 Safety Report

Tuesday, March 8

  • A Gustavus student reported the theft of his iPod Nano from Nobel Hall.
  • A student reported a laptop stolen from the library.

Wednesday, March 9

  • A Campus Safety officer responded to a medical assist at the north side of the Anderson Social Science building.

Thursday, March 10

  • Campus Safety received a report of a lost key.

Friday, March 11

  • A student on campus grounds was cited by Campus Safety and SPPD for underage consumption of alcohol. The student was transported to Detox.

Saturday, March 12

  • A Gustavus student was charged with Liquor Violation/Underage Consumption by Campus Safety.
  • A non-Gustavus student was issued a citation for underage consumption by the SPPD and removed from campus.
  • A student reported an attempted theft in an unlocked vehicle on college grounds.
  • A student was stopped in the motor pool parking lot and questioned about suspicious activity.

Sunday, March 13

  • Three students were charged with underage consumption and drug violation in North hall
  • A Gustavus student and a non-Gustavus student were cited for underage consumption of alcohol by Campus Safety and SPPD. The non-Gustavus student was issued a Trespass Warning and transported to the hospital. The Gustavus student was cited for Non-Compliance with a College Official, Intimidation, Communicating Threats and a Social Host Violation.
  • A student was charged by Campus Safety for Simple Assault and Failure to Comply with a Campus Official.
  • A student was charged with DUI and Damage to College Property.
  • Campus Safety was dispatched to the Lund Center Forum for a medical assist.

Spring Break Parking

If you are leaving your vehicle on campus during Spring Break, you must park in the gravel section of theBjorling Lot (west of the Schaefer Fine Arts Centers).

Any vehicle not moved to this location during Spring Break will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Lots CLOSED from 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 until Wednesday, March 30 at 4:00 a.m.:

  • Norelius Lot (Green section)
  • Norelius Lot (Red section)
  • Arboretum Lot (between Fine Arts/Interpretive Center)
  • Sorensen Lot (west of North/Gibbs/Sorensen)

Lots CLOSED from 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 until Thursday, March 31 at 4:00 a.m.:

  • Visitor Lot (north of Campus Center)
  • Lund Lot (south of Lund Center)
  • Olin Lot (south of Olin / International Center)
  • Uhler Lot
  • Swanson Tennis Center Lot
  • Chapel Circle (west of Christ Chapel)
  • Stadium Lot
