Sept. 6 – Sept. 12 Safety Report

Monday, September 6

  • Three Gustavus students and one non-Gustavus student were cited by Campus Safety and SPPD for underage consumption of alcohol. One non-Gustavus student was issued a Trespass Warning. Three Gustavus students were cited for a Social Host Violation.

Tuesday, September 7

  • The Department of Campus Safety was notified about a lost campus key.
  • A Campus Safety Officer responded to Health Service to interview an injured student.

Wednesday, September 8

  • A faculty member reported lost Gustavus keys to Campus Safety.

Thursday, September 9

  • A Campus Safety officer responded to the Art Building for a medical assist.
  • A faculty member reported Gustavus lost keys.

Friday, September 10

  • Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm at Southwest Hall.
  • Two students were cited for underage consumption in Uhler Hall.

Saturday, September 11

  • A Gustavus student was cited for underage consumption at the Johnson Student Union.
  • A Gustavus student was transported to Rivers Edge Hospital and then transferred to Detox.
  • Campus Safety Hallwas dispatched to Norelius to take a report of an assault.
  • A theft of Gustavus keys was reported.

Sunday, September 12

  • Campus Safety was called for a welfare check in Uhler Hall. One student was cited by Campus Safety for an of age alcohol violation.
  • Campus Safety was called to Norelius Hall concerning a domestic dispute.
  • Campus Safety responded to Norelius Hall for a medical assist.

Tip of the Week

Escort Service

From dusk till dawn, Campus Safety provides an on-campus walking escort service for members of the college community. Escorts will display proper identification and have two-way radio communication with on-duty Campus Safety Officers. Escorts may be requested by phoning Ext. 8888, and will be provided as other Campus Safety duties permit.

Students waiting for a Mobile Escort around campus may be picked up/dropped off at 10 locations on campus. Look for the SAFE RIDES signs at the designated pick-up points.

Call 507-933-8888 when you are ready to be picked up. You must be waiting at the marked safe rides stop location when the escort arrives.
