Junior Cross Country runner Caitlin Fermoyle was named the MIAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week after finishing second in Saturday’s meet at Saint John’s University. Caitlin was the first Division III runner to cross the finish line and helped lead the Gustavus women’s team to a second place finish in the meet. Caitlin ran the 6k race in 23:35 and was one of just two runners to break 24:00.
“The MIAC women’s Cross Country field is traditionally very competitive, and I am fortunate to be able to race against such talented athletes, my teammates included. I am honored to be chosen as [MIAC Women’s Cross Country] Athlete of the Week, and I hope to keep improving to help my team reach our goals by the end of the season,” Fermoyle said.
Good Job 🙂
