Some people are able to add stories to the Weekly’s website. Users who have access should click the link on bottom of the Weekly website labeled “Administration” to login. They should be able to login with their Gustavus username and password.
Note: The screenshots can be viewed as larger images – just click on them.
After logging in, you will then see this screen:
Click “Add New” under posts on the left to add a new post. You
will see this screen:
You can then write the entry.
You should remember to:
- Write a title
- Choose the proper category to the right. This is important, as it will determine where the content is placed on the site. Feel free to ask the Web Editor if you have questions.
- If you are not the author, put the author in the “Custom Author” box like this: <strong>Author name</strong> <em>Author Title</em>
When you are finished, press “submit for review” and the post will be saved for the Web Editor for review. Please e-mail the Web Editor – weekly-webmaster@gustavus.edu when you are finished, as the system does not alert the Web Editor when stories are ready for review. If you have images for your story, send those in this message, as well.
If changes need to be made after the story is posted, please e-mail those directly to the Web Editor.

The first time you login, you will probably want to go to “Profile” on the left bar and fill
in your name, etc. so that shows up with your posts.
