Editor-in-Chief blog article published October 1, 2009 by Jake Seamans Editor-in-Chief

This week’s issue covers the Nobel Conference. The Nobel issue is always an important one for the Weekly, and we have a lot of exciting stories coming up.

Some stories to look for: News stories on the Nobel Conference, changes in the Campus Safety Department with the new Clery Act, changes in how Homecoming Royalty are chosen and Dr. Leonard Smith’s Lecture; Variety articles about the Ari Herstand concert, a Homecoming Week preview and Gustie of the Week Sophia Backman; a Feature on the Big Hill Student Farm; Commentaries on Minnesota Nice, the Gustavus printing policy, getting your money’s worth out of college and slowing down our lives; the always hilarious Calendar; and Sports articles on Volleyball’s Border Battle, the Men’s and Women’s Golf teams and Men’s Tennis’ individual tournament.
